Since our first Chamber Music Camp in 2003, we have concentrated our efforts on offering a unique chamber music program, which provides high level instruction in small groups taught by professional musicians and internationally recognized guest ensembles.

In the summer of 2010, the OPUS Chamber Music Camp will mark its 8th year. What began as a program for string players has gradually expanded to include piano and clarinet students, chamber orchestra, and a handbell choir. We are pleased to announce the introduction of flutes to our ensemble program at the 2010 OPUS Chamber Music Camp.

In addition to the Chamber Music Camp, OPUS has organized, sponsored, underwritten the costs, and successfully executed numerous projects and programs every year since its inception in 2000. Past events and programs include:

OPUS has on-going relationships with the Wheaton Symphony Orchestra, Benedictine University, the Healing Arts Program at Edward Hospital, and various professional and community music groups. The outstanding young artist ensembles have been invited to perform in the professional Orion Ensemble concerts, and some students have appeared as soloists with various local symphony orchestras including the DuPage Symphony Orchestra.
