The OPUS Chamber Music Camp is a summer day camp offered
for all intermediate to advanced students (ages 8 - 18) of: violin, viola,
cello, bass, piano, clarinet and flute. Our campers study and perform chamber
music in small ensembles with other young musicians who share their enthusiasm
and skill level.
OPUS Camp offers
a rare opportunity for students to experience a high level of instruction
and individualized attention while working in small ensembles. Our ratio
of 1 teacher for every 3-5 students accounts in part for the tremendous
growth and development our campers experience during one week at camp.
The study of chamber music develops teamwork and draws on the individual strengths of each player. As a result, students are inspired to strive for excellence while making new friends.
Many of our campers return year after year to continue working with their existing ensembles. They look forward to renewing past friendships and developing new ones.
